Finally Done!!!!

I have finally done my documentary !!!!! everything is done !

Deadline Day!

Today at 4 PM is my deadline to finish my documentary i am nearly finished just got to make sure i got all the sheets i need and the video is perfect and to my liking. i really hope that everyone will like my documentary. i will also need to get my sheets all together to give in.
but at the moment i am having trouble EDL i will not let me press it.

Last Couple Days To Finish (should of been uploaded monday!)

As the title says i only got couple days left to get all my sheets done and my documentary all done. i am stilling editing at the moment, iv edit about 9 minuets so far just need one more minute to fill and then i will have hit the maxium time for this documentary

Busy Couple of Days

Been busy for these couple days to help seconded years film  as an extra for there flat party film and not had time to finish off my edit and my film, i have now got 2 weeks to finish off the film and hand it in and i'm confident that it will be all done by then.

Currently going to carrying on editing and start writing up my cast and contributor

500 Report on Research Techniques

I was told and had to do a minimum 500 word report explaining the nature, applications and constraints of primary, secondary, qualitative and quantitative research techniques. i have done this and now know what the differences are.

Primary Research:

I found out that is consists of a collection of original primary data collected by the researcher. It is often undertaken after the researcher has gained some insight into the issue by reviewing secondary research or by analyzing previously collected primary data.

Secondary Research:

Secondary research involves the summary, collation and/or synthesis of existing research rather than Primary research

Examples of secondary research include researching the Internet, newspapers, and even company reports. 

Quantitative Research: 

Quantitative research focuses on the numeric data.

A typical quantitative asking people for their opinions in a structured way so that you can produce hard facts and statistics to guide you. The way you can structure to make a quantitative research is that you can make an online questionnaire.

Qualitative Research:

Qualitative Research is research that is opinion based.

Qualitative methods produce information only on the particular cases studied, and any more general conclusions are only propositions. The way you can structure is using techniques like individual depth interviews or group discussions. 

Time to Edit!

I am now at a stage of production were i can now start editing my documentary. I have not got all my videos saved on to my mac yet but they will be soon but i thought id just get a start on it and start doing the beginning of the documentary, what is i got planned today is i will get the start video and title done.

Idea !

I'v just had an idea of a new scene in my documentary either a scene or just an extra part of the film. my idea is that after i filmed by the Cardiff City Stadium and talk about bit of history of football and talk about difference between Creigiau and the glamour and big football teams today i would cut to me being in Creigiau and showing where they are currently and talking about the Creigiau its self. i was also thinking about telling bit of facts about creigiau as the village but i'm not sure if that be going to far out of direction.

I should be getting some film today of some clips of us training. hopefully it will be a good training session to show on the documentary.

Music When Editing

for copyright reasons i will be using my own music which i have made with my band, so all the music on the documentary will be by my band.

Finishing Risk Assessment

My risk assessment allows me to film in the areas that i need to film and also allows me to look at the risks that i will have to look out for when recording.

This is the guide lines i had to fill out before i could start film in.  

My possibilities i could get when recording is Camera cable Hazard and severity is slightly but likelihood is possible and the risk factor is 3. Camera cable Hazard is when cables are not put away properly so people could fall over and hurt them selfs. people who could be exposed by this would be me, the public and crew.  i will not let this happen by making sure people know that that the tripod is around. make sure that the camera and tripod are in a big space.  

Weather Hazard

Severity is moderate but the likelihood of this happening is unlikely  and the risk factor is 2. Weather Hazard is when you could record in dangerous conditions and people could get serious illness. people who could be exposed are me, crew and public. to make sure that this will not happen is that to make sure everyone is dry and warm at most times when filming and make sure the weather is suitable to film. 

Material Hazard : Glass, Non fire- retardant 

Severity is moderate and the likelihood of this happening is Possible and the risk factor is 3. this means that if someone drops a glass of something or glass bottle is left on the floor you could get hurt and seriously injure them selfs. people who are exposed to this danger are me, the crew and the public. to make sure this won't happen i will make sure that there is no glass in the area that is recording and area were the camera and tripod will be. also make it safe for my crew and the public.


Public Hazard

Severity is moderate and the likelihood of this happening is possible and the risk factor is 3. public hazard is that public could trip over equipment and get in the way of shorts and we can't control the public viewing the match. people who will be exposed are me and the crew. action i will take is that is to make sure that public know i'm recording the match and make sure camera is not that visible  so people won't get distracted. 

Write out a script !

I'm now on too writing out my script iv done the first part of the script so i am ready to film first part of thhe film.

This will help me and be my guide line when making the film. i have put in a few bullet points to help me what to say when i interview people. i have written what parts i will need to put short clips in and this is  saying how i got permission to interview the coaches and players.  got to hope the weather will be good when i film.

Add On to my Presentation

What it would mean if Creigiau got promoted this season

at the moment Creigiau are playing in the Cardiff and District League Premier Division

as you can see at the moment we are top of the league and won all of our games. if we can keep this good momentum up we should be alright to get promoted.

If this happens Creigiau will be in the Welsh Division Three. Which make Creigiau reputation bigger and will give the team more financial good.  if Creigiau go up this will also mean that we will need to build a Stand for our supporters and also need a barrier to go round the pitch and they will have to improve the Club house.  this would defiantly show the improvements of the club.
This season Our main focus is on the league, if we get a good cup run that  be good but coach has told us that this season is all about getting promoted.

Confirmation

I had confirmation on that i can interview coaches and the players of Creigiau Football Club and also have confirmation to film the training session and some of the matches being played during the time of the documentary.

Last Wednesday i done my research presentation. i had to find out research about the channel BBC Three and used my questionnaire to make graphs to show what my results came up with. I also did a summary on my proposal to tell the audience what i was going to do and have planned. I did have a problem with my presentation when my graphs would not show on the screen. i am now going to post the slides that where missing

Researching and Proposal

in this task i have to do primary and secondary research. i am researching BBC Three and and looking at what there target audience is and see if i can see if my Documentary would be shown on BBC Three and see who would find it interesting. I am currently writing up my proposal and i am close to finishing just have to add few bits in. The Proposal has to be done by Wednesday 16th October so it will be done by then on the deadline. 

Not good!

after making my questionnaire i had high hopes that i would get quite few responses been few days but i only have had 1 response by using survey monkey so instead i have changed it to that i am now going to print my questionnaires out and give them out to people and hopefully this time i will get a better response.

Finally!

After days of mind mapping and researching i have finally decided on a documentary. i am going to do a documentary on a football team i play for called creigiau fc and i will be showing history and what they want to achieve this season and what is at stake.

Finding out the Target audience

Now i need to find out what my target audience will be and get feed back on what type of people watch BBC 3. I have gone out and made a questionnaire  so i can find this information out and hopefully get some results!

Just been giving a assignment to make a short documentary for BBC 3. The documentary has to be 10 minutes long and i need to successfully meet the needs of the target audience. I now need to think on what documentary i should do and hopefully think of a good idea !
